11th March 2017: And So I Face the Final Curtain

“And now the end is here and so I face the final curtain…”

At the beginning of this year I did a goal setting webinar with Blair Singer where we were taken through a set of exercises designed to lead us to create our goals for the year in the areas of Business/Career, Personal/Family and Personal Development.  I was surprised that the goal that turned out to be in need of my priority focus was ‘establishing my blog/vlog’ because I expected it to be something more practical like my financial goal or my goal around deciding where I’m going to live.  But I trusted the process and within a few days the idea for Everyday for 50 Days was born. Within 10 days I had set up the blog and, with the help of my Facebook friends and Mastermind Group colleagues I had a title and a list of activities I could do.

I have had the best fun. Don't let anyone ever tell you that hard work can't be fun!

I remember when I took the first photograph on the first day and I remember when I crossed off the first date on my calendar and I remember thinking 50 days was a long time but feeling excited about it anyway.  And now it’s done and I’m here on day 51, the project is finished and my daily focus gone.

I’m trying to think if there was anything I did for the first time today and there isn’t. For the first time I struggled to find the words to begin this entry.

It’s been a great journey and I’m so grateful for those of you who came along for the ride. I said it before but you helped me remain motivated. Each time I worried that no one was reading it, I would get a message of encouragement or two or a like or a share. And knowing there were people reading kept me accountable.

So what next?

Well I’m going to take a couple of weeks to reflect on the experience; what I’ve learned and how I may have grown in the last 7 weeks which I’m putting together in a little downloadable booklet.

But for now it seems there is nothing else to say. It was great fun and I thank you all for your love, support and encouragement.

I will continue to write about my experiences so watch this space. It’s the end of this project but you know what they say,

The end of a phase is just the beginning of the next one.

 I hope you’ll join me.
